Saturday Art Day

Still making a little progress with my health so I wanted to do a little 'something' - just not a very commplicated 'something'.  I went with some text to start a new page.  It is quite simple - but quite pretty with all the little extra bits.

There is a very simple short paragraph to go underneath - I may manage that during the week.

neat and tidy

Sooo chuffed with myself - I have my shop kitchen back!

I haven't seen the worktop for about 6 weeks - since I started the big move arround for Christmas - but I have really concentrated last week and this week - and finally got (almost) everything in it's place.

I have had a good old clean up and all the tops are clear and sparkling again.  There are still a couple of baskets that are 'spare' - but 3 of my 4 work surfaces are clear for Christmas.

I once had a job where we all had our own work boxes - and you could not leave for your holiday until your personal box was clean and empty.  Everything had to be accounted for - away being worked on - waiting for a response - or alocated to someone else to keep an eye on.  It was a really god system and I have never quite got it out of my system.  I am not nearly so disaplined now - but I still set work targets - like my week off at Christmas - to have the worktops clean.  I find it really helps clear my mind of all the junk I carry arround al the time

Saturday Art Day

I have had a bit better week this week - managed to get to Friday before the exhaustion got me - that's a huge improvement!  I even had a bit of energy to work in my journal today.

I finished my Banshee pages.  Not my best work - but so what - at least I am working again - and it is very striking.

Knitted 'square' -

Something a bit different this month - Fishies!!!  A fantastic way to use up the scraps - make loads of fishies in all sorts of colours.  Mix and match the yarn weights to use up - just remember not to mix wool and acrylics

Work a small fish with 1 strand of double knitting on 4mm knitting needles.  Takes 5g of yarn and makes a fish 5½“ long.

Work a larger fish with 2 strands of double knitting / or 1 strand of chunky on 6mm knitting needles.  Takes 12g of yarn and makes a fish 8“ long.

Work a huge fish with 3(4) strands of double knitting on 8(10)mm knitting needles.  Takes - - - well - you work it out!!!!

Sunday 6 November 2016

I have been missing

Huge - HUGE - apoligies all round - I havve been largly absent in the social media circles for some while.

I had a fall a couple of weeks ago - and I an afraid that it has totally knocked the stuffing out of me.

The brusing and swelling has just about gone - and I am pretty much managing to get about and do what I want now.  But the fibro has kicked off again ( I was warned it would after such a shock) - the fatigue has kicked in again - and my confidence has taken a huge knock.  I am in huge amounts of painf and totally exhausetd.

I have been spending all my energy on getting the shop sorted out for Christmas.  I have finished the bulk of the stock shopping I wanted to do - got some wicked new present ideas!!!!!  I have reorganised the shop and am gradually getting the muddle tidied up (just don't look in the back room!!!!!).  I won't be decorating the shop this year - sorry - saves on energy - and I will be using up the Christmas cards I have made in previous years to send out to friends (same reason - plus dejunking!).

For the same reason I didn't have an 'Art Day' yesterday.  I just don't have the concentration at the moment - I have wedding to get out and that is taking up al my concentration.  It takes a lot of mental agility to work up a calligaphy page - even if you don't realise it at the time - you are working really hard - so I don't really plan on having anything organised in the art line until next year (it's only a few weeks).

SO - bottom line - I am going to concentrate on the shop sales (we soooo need the money!) - try to chill out as much as possable - not get stressed - and just take what the days give me.

If you need me to do anything for you - just ask (and nag) - seriously - if you want anything you need to ask - it's not a problem - I can fit it in if I know - I just won't be able to think of it for myself.

Counting down to my holidays!!!
